jumping on the stud train

I know we have all seen the studded shoes everywhere, but I have jumped on that train in a big way… keep looking back for more photos over the next few weeks!

These are probably the best of the stud projects I worked on… I have already gotten a ton of use out of them! I wasn’t so sure if the stud look would really work for me, lets be honest, I’m not a bad ass… at all! ha But these shoes are still pretty basic and preppy so I am rocking them!

I got the studs off the site studs and spikes… they were well priced and came pretty quickly. I used an awl and sharp sissors and to get the holes big enough to put the screws through and then tightened them with a screw driver (I tried not using the screw driver… and it looked awful, I couldn’t get it tight enough with my finger so it just looked messy… use a screw driver). Over all this project wasn’t as fast as I thought it would be, and I ruined my manicure, but in the end I love the finished project and it really didn’t take THAT long.

I love it! Can you feel the studs much inside your shoes? I want to try this with Vans…

I screwed the studs in really tight and wear socks, so I can’t feel them at all, I used moleskin to cover the inside of another pair I did (that I don’t wear socks with) and that worked really well too! Happy studding!
